Turners Falls RiverCulture celebrates Latino history with Third Thursday events

By AVIVA LUTTRELL, Recorder Staff, Tuesday, September 15, 2015. TURNERS FALLS — Turners Falls RiverCulture will celebrate Latino History Day on Thursday with traditional Central and South American music, food and crafts followed by a documentary screening at the Shea Theater.

The event is part of Herencia Latina, a nine-month Pioneer Valley-wide exploration of Latino history and culture. The project was organized by the Pioneer Valley History Network and includes 14 film and discussion events, mainly in the Springfield and Holyoke areas.
