Pee-wee Herman embarks on a cross-country journey to recover his stolen bicycle. Free and open to the public; donations benefit the Turners Falls Thunder Music Booster. Part of First Friday Turners Falls.

Turners Falls Vinyl Crawl

Downtown Turners Falls, 4-8pm

Celebrate Turners Falls' three downtown record stores, all within a quarter mile. Two Ghosts hosts a vinyl/CD/merch signing with Lou Barlow of Dinosaur Jr. Breakdown Records has an all-vinyl DJ set by E-Mag at 5:30pm. Karaoke at Music Connection at 6pm, with contemporary solo pianist Dan Becker at 7pm.

Smokey Bear Birthday!

Great Falls Discovery Center, 3-4pm

Free for all ages. Hear a reading of the Smokey Bear story, learn campfire safety, tour a Wildland Fire Engine and fire truck, try a scavenger hunt, and meet Smokey Bear, turning 82.

Tom Ricardi: Birds of Prey

Discovery Center, 2-3pm

An educational presentation by licensed rehabilitator and wildlife biologist Tom Ricardi on raptor lives, habitats, and conservation, with live birds including a turkey vulture, peregrine falcon, hawks, and owls.
