Pocumtuck Homelands Festival

Unity Park Riverfront, First Street, Turners Falls, August 1-2, 10am-5pm

A celebration of Native American art, music, and cultures with 40 Indigenous craft vendors, music, history talks, kids' activities, and food. Features presentations by Mohawk Elder Tom Porter, Nipmuck flute maker Hawk Henries, Aquinnah Wampanoag singer-songwriter Thea Hopkins, and more. Free; donations to the Nolumbeka Project appreciated.

The Winter's Tale

Shea Theater, 5-7pm

A staged reading with live music by Sam V. Perry of an original adaptation of Shakespeare's play, which starts as a tragedy and ends as a raucous comedy.
