Free for all ages. Hear a reading of the Smokey Bear story, learn campfire safety, tour a Wildland Fire Engine and fire truck, try a scavenger hunt, and meet Smokey Bear, turning 82.

Tom Ricardi: Birds of Prey

An educational presentation by licensed rehabilitator and wildlife biologist Tom Ricardi on raptor lives, habitats, and conservation, with live birds including a turkey vulture, peregrine falcon, hawks, and owls.

Wes Brown Quartet

Peskeompskut Park, Avenue A + 7th St., 7pm, Free

The Quartet performs a selection of Wes's compositions from the last 50 years, including new pieces heard for the first time. Featuring Wes Brown (upright bass), Royal Hartigan (percussion), Temidayo Balogun (sax, flute), and Matan Rubinstein (keyboard). Bring a lawn chair or blanket.
