About

About RiverCulture

RiverCulture is the creative economy program of Montague, Massachusetts. Founded in 2006 through a Mass Cultural Council Adams Grant, the program was formally adopted by Montague Town Meeting in May 2018. The program has one full-time staff member who works to build capacity across municipal departments, and foster partnerships with stakeholders in the arts and business communities.

RiverCulture is the proud recipient of the 2011-12 Massachusetts Commonwealth Award for Creative Community. Given every two years by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, the award shines a spotlight on the extraordinary contribution that art and culture make to education, economic vitality, and quality of life across the state.
