The Pocumtuck Homelands Festival returns to the Unity Park Waterfront in Turners Falls on Saturday, August 6 from 10am – 7pm. Sponsored by the Nolumbeka Project, V.B.C.I.C., and Turners Falls RiverCulture, this all day celebration of Native American culture and history will include live music, drumming, Penobscot hoop dancers, round dancing, history presentations, elder teachings, primitive skills demonstrations, children’s activities, children’s crafts ($2) ,storytelling, a powwow emcee, and a wide array of Native American crafts! Delicious food available from Diemand Farm, Holyoke Hummus Company, Miller’s River Cafe and Bart’s Ice Cream! Free and appropriate for all ages. Handicapped accessible.
