‘All the worlds a stage, and all the men and women merely players.’

The dedicated actors of the Young Shakespeare Players East will bring to stage this timeless masterpiece, uncut and unbelievable. As You Like It is a story of loves folly vs. loves wonder, city life vs. country life, and the liberating adventure of two young women in disguise who run away from rigid court life to the Forest of Arden where they find their voices, independence, and love (and meet many colorful characters along the way).

The YSP East ensemble, three casts of actors ages 7-17, invite you to experience the music, comedy and many delights of As You Like It. Visit the Forest of Arden with YSP East and perhaps discover what Duke Senior finds: “…tongues in trees, books in the running brooks, Sermons in stones and good in every thing.” .

Delicious concessions available during all shows; funds raised go directly to YSP East's Scholarship Fund. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Amherst local cultural council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
