This statewide 10-day innovative festival presented by Highland Street Foundation and produced by the Boch Center, features hundreds of unique and creative experiences that are hands-on, interactive or offer behind-the-scenes access to artists or the creative process. This annual award-winning festival was born in Boston in 2013 and this is the first year it has expanded to serve communities all across Massachusetts.
ArtWeek works to spotlight how the creative economy is thriving in Massachusetts by offering unique and affordable neighborhood-based events that provide increased access to art, culture, and creativity. Through community and artistic collaborations, this festival provides experiences in dance, folk and traditional arts, fashion, media arts, spoken-word, poetry, writing, contemporary visual arts, music, opera, theater, design, film, and much more.

Radical Interconnectedness Festival
Turners Falls, $20 all performances all weekend.
On April 26 and 27, 2019, the Radical Interconnectedness Festival offers the opportunity for artists to address the concerns of marginalized communities through a wide variety of experiential forms: theater, music, installation, dance, poetry, etc, all presented within walking distance in alternative venues, storefronts, and the Shea Theatre. We are showcasing stories that engage issues of race, age, gender, religion, economic class, and aspects of cultural identity that have been suppressed.
Additionally, Eggtooth Production will host a follow up conversation and panel discussion, workshop, and action plan on Sunday, April 28, from noon to 3:30pm at the Cohn Commons at Greenfield Community College. We believe that true understanding begins when people experience real engagement with each other; see, hear, and feel the other’s intention and perceive their points of view. On April 27th the artists of Millers Falls will be opening their doors and bringing a feast of creativity and color to our town center. Local artists, musicians, and craftspeople from the surrounding Great Falls area will be rolling into town to set up and share their creative brilliance. The event will feature art demonstrations, street performers, live music--including local African Drumming group the Wendell Warriors--craft vendors, activities for kids, and generous participation from local businesses.
